Deleting a single environment
Go to Environments, select the environment, scroll to the bottom, and click Delete Environment. This permanently removes all assets, findings, and intelligence data for that environment from your storage. A confirmation ID is issued for compliance records.
Deleting all data
To delete all data across all environments, go to Settings and click Delete all data. This purges every environment and removes all encrypted data from your storage. Your account and subscription remain active.
Cancelling your account
To cancel your subscription and delete your account, go to Settings, click Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period. Data deletion is a separate step — cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your data.
What deletion removes
Deletion removes all encrypted data from your chosen storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, or S3). It removes environment records, asset records, finding records, and intelligence cache from the OTIS system. It does not affect your storage provider account or any files unrelated to OTIS.
Confirmation IDs
Every deletion operation issues a confirmation ID. Keep this for compliance and audit purposes. The confirmation ID proves that deletion was requested and completed at a specific date and time.
Data recovery
Deleted data cannot be recovered. OTIS does not maintain backups of your encrypted data — it is stored in your own storage and deleted from there. Ensure you have reviewed and exported any findings or reports you need before deleting.
